Becoming a
Family-Centered
Parish
Parishes are meant to be a home to all. While being welcoming and sensitive to those without families, parishes are called to reach out and support families in their diverse needs.
Meeting all the diverse needs of families in the parish may seem a daunting task. However, a parish can move towards becoming family-centered by focusing on creating a welcoming atmosphere, inspiring families to embrace their call to be educators of the faith and communities of faith and love, and equipping them to live out this call in their daily lives.
No plan for organized pastoral work at any level must ever fail to take into consideration the pastoral area of the family.
