Build Disciples in the Faith

The disciple of Christ must not only keep the faith and live on it, but also profess it, confidently bear witness to it, and spread it.  -Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 1816

Parishes are encouraged to strengthen the growing faith and ongoing formation of disciples through:

  • Sacramental discernment processes for anyone seeking sacraments

  • Initiatory and systematic catechesis for adults

  • Empowering parents to be the main teachers of the faith in their family

  • Opportunities for studying Sacred Scripture and Tradition

  • Formation of leaders within the parish to support other disciples on their journey.

Fruit always emerges out of a growing relationship with God.  Spiritual fruit is born when we act because we are saying “yes” to God’s love, grace, inspiration or command.
